Support your child celebrate who they are

Often Sensitive Children feel different from their peers and may even have challenges with friendships or learning at school. They want to belong but just don’t know how to achieve it. If they do not feel confident and have strategies to cope, they may find themselves: being bullied, bullying others, acting out, being timid, retreating into themselves or even creating health issues. If your child is using any of these strategies the first thing to do is to build their ‘belief in themselves’ and understand and celebrate their unique and special qualities.

‘Be You” has been designed to build their self confidence and love and accept themselves just the way they are. It includes a ‘full coloured’ book and a set of cards for your child to illustrate.

1. ‘Be You’ Book ~ to be read
Read with your child and affirm how special they are with words like:
~ Shine … like a star, glistening in the night sky
~ Grow … like a tree, reaching higher every day
~ Love … like the sun, sharing warmth with every one
~ Be You … it’s all you need to be

2. ‘Being Me’ Cards ~ to be illustrated
Once your child has read ‘Be You’ encourage them to draw their own pictures on their ‘Being Me’ cards. When they have illustrated each page you can put them together in a book. (You can also photocopy the pages so they can be used again and again).
